This has been on backorder for quite some time...not exactly sure why and when it will be restock...anyone have any info??

No information to offer other than if you need it, you may want to look at alternatives to doing the same thing.  I placed an order for Plexus with Aircraft Spruce back in June 2023 and I am still waiting.  I get the occasional email from Spruce saying they are still waiting for it as well.  I just checked my orders and it is still back ordered.

I've got backups, just wondering what the issue is and if this is something that will be fixed, or just going out of business permanently?  Like @Greg Ellis, I have an order at Spruce that was placed around the same time.  Seems strange to have back-orders for so long.  Just curious if anyone had the low down?

Not sure about Plexus, but I waited more than a year for oil filters.  Spruce always says "we expect to ship any minute now".

They have supply chain issues resolved, and anticipate restarting production in 10 weeks.  However, they have a 4 million can backlog. Anticipate a significant delay in fulfilling backlog. However, apparently some allocation remains available on the startup order if you order direct from the company.  Sold by the case. They don’t charge your credit card until order is fulfilled.

I've been using spray car wax for the last 20 years. My windows still look great.

I always have Meguiar's Quik Wax around but, now that you mention it, maybe it would be okay on my windows.

That said, it contains Methylchloroisothiazolinone, and I'm not sure if that is bad for plexiglass?

It is an antibacterial that is limited to 15PPM in commercial products. It's hard to imagine there is enough to hurt the plastic. It doesn't seem to hurt the plastic bottle it comes in.

There's nothing magic about Plexus. In fact I think you would throw rocks at Plexus after using Klear-to-Land.

Shipping is high on their website so it's probably just easier to add it to a Spruce order.

Or just get it in a gallon jug and put it in a spray bottle.

I've used a lot fo different things and got a deal at one of the airshows on Clear View. It was good, probably about the same as Plexus, but not as good as Klear-to-Land.

I'm just using RO water and a clean microfiber cloth and it keeps the plastic very clean.

Some Meguiar's Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax takes the bugs off the leading edges pretty easily.

Our local CAP squadron uses I think a little bit of generic dish soap heavily diluted in water (it's almost water) and that takes the bugs off the wings really easily, too.   They keep a separate bottle with just water for the windscreen.
