PeytonM Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 I have a Mooney 201 with IO360A3B6D. How accurate do you find the %Power presented on the G3X? If you compare to the Mooney POH numbers, it appears the G3X overestimates in cruise by about 5% . I include a screenshot for your amusement and for you to do calculations. Looking at the POH Section V table, I estimate 72% Power. Quote
toto Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 Mine also reads about 5% higher than the POH in most cases. I'm not sure whether this is tunable, but I always treat the POH performance chart as the source of truth. Quote
Pinecone Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 Run LOP and you can KNOW what you % power is, as it directly related to fuel flow. 13.7 HP per 1 GHP for the turbo engines. Quote
PT20J Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 I believe mine reads high also, but I never really pay much attention to it. Here is an old method (it mentions slide rules ) developed by Lycoming to determine actual horsepower at best power mixture. You could use that to see how accurate the G3X EIS calculation is.
