This is an excellent event!  I'll be hosting at my former hangar at SMX on Sunday, October 15, 11-4PM.  The hangar is located adjacent to the main taxiway Alpha, at exit Mike.  From the hangar, there's a great view of the airshow flying.  Also, since the hangar is about 50 feet from taxiway A, we get a great view of all planes returning to parking after landing...........and a wave from the pilots too!

Burger, chips, salsa, water and soft drinks provided. Bring a folding chair. 

Transient parking is available just North of the tower [arrival/departure times restrictions apply.]  It's about a 100 yard walk North from transient parking to my hangar.

NOTE:  It can get pretty exciting as some of the demo flights fly right over the hangar during their performances.............the F35 is absolutely astounding!!!

Once again, if you are kinda near SMX, please come by and get a birds eye view of the wonderful airshow this coming weekend. The airshow is now under the auspices of Planes of Fame folks.  Incidentally, POF is relocating all their single engine warbirds to SMX once the new facilities are completed.  Yippee!

With that said, they've got a lot of those planes coming to the airshow this weekend!!
