While I’m for repair some time back, my mechanic developed a number of health issues and died.  His employees and accountant cleaned him out, and part of the clean out included a number of parts for my K model.

My 262 had the split seats that Slide Over the fold-down seat panels, and I’m trying to get the seats reupholstered.  Anyone have a rear seat I could borrow to have them made?  I have bottom cushions- and I have the mooney cut foam rear seat foam, but I think there is also the plastic insert molded for the seat back, right?

Thank you…

Geez - and I thought I had problems years ago when during a significant panel upgrade, the Avionics shop I was using was sold.  The new shop owner immediately started "remodeling" before my plane was finished and misplaced my log books.  I had to search the premises and luckily found them.

Wish you good luck in this unfortunate situation.

I would talk to Hector at Aero Comfort. He knows Mooney seats better than anyone and may even have an extra set laying around.

Ouch. If they are like my J seats (I think they are the same) there is a plastic frame of sorts internal to the cushion. It’s not shown in the IPC because it’s part of the seat assy so it would only be detailed on the factory construction drawing.

That is just awful that you were caught in the middle of this shops meltdown....I assume you have tried to reason with the accountant for help finding out who has your parts. Also he would know if shop had insurance for loss of your seats and any other missing parts.A claim to mechanics estate may be in order depending on how much their replacement will end up costing you..good luck
