Hope it comes back, would hate to see another great Mooney STC disappear.

I was on that page last week and it didn't say "**STARTING UP AGAIN IN 2022". That text is new.

So

Does anyone know what is exactly is EMAPA? It seems they collect and sell (maybe?) parts and STCs for JPI, EI and others including LoPresti...

including their Mooney cowl:        https://www.emapa.aero/Mooney-Cowl-Kit-p/mooney-cowl-kit.htm

They were bought by WAT some 3 years ago and wonder how accurate all this is?

Lopresti mods are part of the collection owned by WAT, aka the Whelen guys…

We have a Whelen guy around here… @OSUAV8TER

I would doubt it. Only reason i think that is because if they were european, they wouldn't have blue skies be required to do the install since there are a couple guys in europentryong to get the monroy tanks.

From what i heard, the owner of blue skies was buying the stc off jose, so id guess emapa is probably an onlime retailer of his, or has some affiliation with him.

Just my guess. I might be wrong.

Ooops…. My bad…

EMPOA is the European Mooney pilots….

at EMAPA: Engine Monitors And Performance Accessories, we are incredibly responsive to your requests and value your questions.

Blue skys is a separate building from EMAPA…. According to their website and map….

They seem to be inviting a phone call to find out more details….  :)

@Igor_U I'm skeptical that they can get you that cowling kit but if you are really interested in it, I can find out if WAT is still manufacturing it. WAT is the merger between Lopresti and Whelen in 2019/2020.

@OSUAV8TER Not really interested to buy.

I am skeptical as well and only reason for the post is as someone was saying about the cowl and not being available. From what I remember, Lopresti would not stock those even before the merger. I believe they would build to order as I remember David offering one on Likedin for a good price since someone canceled it...

It's definitely a great mod, albeit expensive as gives quite a speed increase for M20F & E's, more so then M2J that has better cowl to start with.

It is made to order, I do know that.
