  4. I have an excellent inventory of these G3 LED landing and taxi lights. Most Mooney aircraft require the PAR-36 size unless your Mooney has a single landing light on the nose, then is needs a PAR-46 size lamp. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-14V28V-G3-PAR-36-LED-Landing-Light_p_189.html <-- G3 PAR-36 LED Landing Light Link https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-14V28V-G3-PAR-36-LED-Taxi-Light_p_190.html <-- G3 PAR-36 LED Taxi Light Link https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-G3-PAR-46-LED-Landing-Light_p_134.html <-- G3 PAR-46 LED Landing Light Link

  7. I'm excited to announce that Gallagher Aviation is now an authorized LockNLube reseller. We only stock and sell products we use or have used, and endorse, so this is one of them! If you participate in owner assisted annual inspections on your aircraft like I do, have you had the joyous experience of greasing your landing gear? Ever take your grease gun, hook up to the zerk, and watch the grease go everywhere but into the zerk? A LockNLube Grease Coupler fixes that! I didn't believe it until my buddy introduced it to me, and what was a lengthy and frustrating experience wasting grease turned into a quick exercise during annual. I carry the standard LockNLube Grease Coupler, the extended Grease Coupler (XL), which is handy to get to the zerks in the main gear assembly, LockNFlate Air Chucks for filling your tires, a digital inflator, and more. I will continue to add more in the future too. Here is the link: https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/LockNLube_c_223.html <-- Link to LockNLube Products https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/LockNLube-Grease-Coupler_p_388.html <-- Link to LockNLube Grease Coupler - $29.99 https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/LockNLube-Grease-Coupler-XL_p_389.html <-- Link to LockNLube Grease Coupler XL - $39.99 https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/LockNLube-Inflator-wDigital-Gauge-Kit_p_390.html <-- LockNLube Inflator with Digital Gauge Kit - $139.99 https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/LockNFlate-Air-Chuck-Closed-Flow_p_391.html <-- LockNFlate Air Chuck Closed Flow - $39.99 https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/LockNLube-Push-On-90-Grease-Coupler-Adapter_p_407.html <-- LockNLube Push-On 90 Degree Grease Coupler Adapter. - $10.99 https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/LockNFlate-Pre-Set-Digital-Tire-Inflator-Gauge_p_409.html <-- LockNFlate Pre-set Digital Tire Inflator Gauge gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com <-- Email me 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call, please leave a voicemail if I do not answer 513-401-6495 <-- Call/Text/MMS, please leave a voicemail if I do not answer
  8. I'm not sure about @Pinecone but I have my SwitcheOn hanging on a workbench near the door, and then I just snaked the 12 foot cable through the bifold door and the antenna sits on the roof. The antenna has a good magnetic base so it is not permanent. It has been sitting up there for 4 years now.
  9. Thanks! Yes, sometimes the remote/external antenna is needed. Just like a regular cell phone sometimes you get dead zones. How do you fix that? You move. Well there is only so much you can/want to move SwitcheOn so this is where the external antenna becomes useful. Glad it worked out. I work closely with SwitcheOn to ensure it performs well for everyone.
  10. I have an excellent inventory of the 2 Channel and 4 Channel SwitcheOn devices. So if you order today, it will ship next business day. Lots of people still drive to the airport to plug their airplane preheater in, which is a waste of time and money. SwitcheOn is a great way to get that time back. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/Switcheon-Remote-Power-Control-Devices_c_50.html <-- Link to website and there is a new Q&A section. 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call me here, please leave a voicemail if I do not answer 513-401-6495 <-- Call/Text/MMS here, please leave a voicemail if I do not answer gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com <-- Email me here
  11. There is no maximum brightness, you need the correct voltage applied for the lamp to work. Most 28V Mooneys have the step down transistor there and this has not been a known issue having to bypass to get the 28V LED recognition light to work.
  12. @Jetpilot86 regardless of the step down transistor you need the LED recognition light that coincides with your ship electrical power. We went through this with Whelen in the design process a couple years ago and aligned the model and part number with the aircraft electrical power. About 90% of the LED recognition lights we sell are the 28V version. @LANCECASPER thank you.
  13. I have an excellent inventory of these SwitcheOn remote power control devices, so if you order a 2 Channel or 4 Channel box, it will ship out right away. These are a must-have product for winter preheating needs! James
  14. I believe it is more of am minor alteration, which require a logbook entry from an A&P mechanic, for switching the recognition lights but a lot of people do it as part of Preventative Maintenance IAW 14 CFR Part 43 Appendix A (c) Preventative maintenance. (17) - Replacing bulbs, reflectors, and lenses of position and landing lights. (https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-14/chapter-I/subchapter-C/part-43) <-- Link to source. Advisory Circular 43-12A - Preventive Maintenance has a lot of good information too. Copy and paste this link into a browser. chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC_43-12A_CHG_1.pdf Bottom line is that this can be viewed many different ways to which I respect all aspects of each position based upon the merit of their arguments.
  15. There are two FAA TSO, or performance standards, for aircraft lighting that all aircraft have to meet depending on types of flight operations conducted (namely at night). There is a TSO for anti-collision lights (wingtip & tail strobe or beacon lights), and a TSO for navigation lights (red, green, white). There is no TSO for a landing or taxi light because long ago aircraft were certified with GE incandescent PAR-36, PAR-46, etc. lamps. Those GE part numbers are in your IPC and are considered a standard part based off an antique tractor standard (sometimes you see people joking about tractor bulbs). So to go LED, Whelen got an STC as an installation basis for their LED landing and taxi lights. That is highly debated whether one is needed or not but I always recommend a good quality aviation LED landing or taxi light. The Amazon $20 special are not even close in quality or brightness. When it comes to recognition lights, there is no FAA standard to speak of so parts and aircraft manufacturers are left with a lot of flexibility here.
  16. @PeteMc good question and I've seen it gone three ways. The way I recommend is an A&P sign it off as a minor alteration. The other two ways are that the owner installs them as owner preventative maintenance with a logbook entry and in extreme instances some A&P/IAs insist on a time consuming and costly field approval. The bottom line is that it is subjective. I saw your Mooney coming out of the hangar last week and they did a really, really, nice job with it. You'll be excited to get it back.
  17. Yes this is also an option too if you don't like the MaxPulse switch. I have it on the shelf now but for $699.99. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-71156-Series-LED-Flasher-Assembly-4-Outlet-28V_p_375.html
  18. I think Pulse lights add a ton of day and night time recognition capability and I can’t ever overemphasize how much I value that capability. They work great.
  19. I’m not sure but I recommend the ring terminal model.
  20. I recommend the MaxPulse switch. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/MaxPulse-9200-000-B-Ring-Terminal-Switch_p_266.html
  21. The PAR-46 Parmetheus Plus is a 110,000 candela powered lamp and the PAR-46 Parmetheus G3 is a 250,000 candela powered lamp. Whelen does not measure by lumens because it is not as good of a measurement for aircraft lighting. Lumens is a good way to measure a light for your living room.
  22. I've gotten to this resigned point in aircraft ownership where it will get done, when it gets done. I'm done asking for mechanics to have it done by XX date, I set low expectations and when it turned out better, I'm happy!
  23. @Jetpilot86 that looks really good! It can be fun, and frustrating working on your airplane :). I just installed my right hand aileron after sending it out for reskinning. It is 8 screws and then two bonding straps. The bonding straps are frustrating to install because they are in such a tight space! Aviation maintenance is a good lesson in patience.
  24. I strive to beat Amazon but man, what a machine they are! Sometimes customers call, and I'm there! Sometimes they call, and I'm in a SCIF for hours, and I'm not there . Around 5 PM my youngest, Liam, who is 19 months old, starts picking up the smallest envelopes and putting them by the door. He really enjoys helping me run to UPS/FedEx/USPS. He loves putting envelopes into the mail slot at the Post Office. I should put him on payroll! I appreciate your support. Last call on the best promotion from Whelen I have seen in 5 years, and I think we'll never see anything better. I still think 10% is what they will revert to. If you ordered and didn't receive a same-day shipping notification, I am waiting on more inventory, which will shortly arrive. So, expect a few day delay. PM me if you have any questions or concerns, or email me at gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com.
