Brandt Posted March 8, 2022 Report Posted March 8, 2022 I posted this link on the Mooney Pilots Facebook after I ran across it on YouTube. I hadn’t seen it before. Guess a lot of people hadn’t either, so thought I’d drop it here as well. Good video. 1 Quote

FAA records show it is still owned by Mooney Corp and FlightAware shows that it has not flown in 3 months. I assume it was used for testing and certification. I guess it is just sitting rotting somewhere - a modern "hangar queen" - damaged? Sold. Now registered as N311TN -dan Quote

It is a TN not a V. It was the first Acclaim and used for testing back in 2006. My bad. 30-0001 was still at the factory until recently updated and sold. I believe 31.0001 is not airworthy. -dan Quote

Unfortunately it was crashed in a bad landing and scrapped in 2012. 31-0001, the first 2006 Acclaim TN, was finally sold by the factory in 2020 as detailed above. Perhaps you mean Acclaim Ultra 33-0001 is not airworthy. Correc. That is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion 1 Quote
carusoam Posted March 9, 2022 Report Posted March 9, 2022 1980 is really good with numbers…. -a- Quote
Schllc Posted March 9, 2022 Report Posted March 9, 2022 There is a Mooney acclaim with that paint scheme sitting in the factory floor at this moment. I believe it was a testing bed for some things and then was robbed of some parts to complete on of the last certified acclaims. I was told there was too much involved at this time to convert it from experimental to certified for sale…. sniff… sniff… Quote
