Will.iam Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 My Google fu of Mooney space turned up nothing about OAT probes except for when installed a JPI. My original OAT gauge is showing 40 degree C and I think it’s the probe that is bad but I can’t seem to find a replacement for the probe that is in the right wing on the bottom side. Can someone tell me where I can get a new one that will work with the original ship’s gauge on a M20K 252? TIA Quote
carusoam Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Got pic or description? In 1994, the TC became a small bump… not the standard mast like shiny probe… A really cool upgrade if you can…. Way low drag…. Best regards, -a- Quote
Guest Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 From the maintenance manual there are several possibilities. Quote

David Lloyd Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 I've got a Lewis 56B17 probe in my parts bin. Has MS28034-3 stamped on the side, one of the numbers listed above. The visible end appears to match. Quote

Will.iam Posted October 20, 2021 Author Report Posted October 20, 2021 Well I think first thing I need to do is test the probe in ice water bath for approx 0dC and this will also allow me examine the back side of the probe for serial numbers/ how long this probe actually is size wise. Quote
Will.iam Posted October 21, 2021 Author Report Posted October 21, 2021 I think the probe part number is 800263-740 but the problem is no one list a price for this part number. Can the westberg 399 probe be used in it’s place? Quote
