WTB Whelen 490TCCF / Aeroflash 152-0007

I had a cap blow in a Aeroflash power supply for the tail strobe and need a replacement.  Anyone happen to have a Whelen 490TCCF or Aeroflash 152-0007 they would like to get rid of?

Probably a last resort.  It may have failed on its own, or something may have made it fail.

How old is it? "Failed on its on" is the most common mode for high power electrolyte caps, they used to come in sockets on amplifiers for that reason. Exposing them to hot/cold weather variations adds to the mortality rate.

new purchase of an old aircraft from the NY area.  Probably exposed to the most significant of situations you described.

Otherwise… check in with your local avionics guy…. Capacitors don’t last forever… so they can usually be pretty easy to swap out…
