0TreeLemur Posted July 1, 2021 Report Posted July 1, 2021 The little rubber seal around the door lock on our '67C, which resembles a grommet, is shall I say "tired". Being the oldest looking part on the aircraft, I'd like to replace it. While I'm in there the seal around the door handle is gone. Suggestions? This presents an opportunity to replace the existing lock, but the current lock(s) work fine, so I probably won't do that unless someone presents a real compelling reason to do so. Thx. 1 Quote
DXB Posted July 1, 2021 Report Posted July 1, 2021 My grommet was so tired it went missing. It wasn't there when I got the plane so I didn't know it had left, but I'd like to get one. It makes sense to have one there from an H20 leak perspective. Quote
carusoam Posted July 2, 2021 Report Posted July 2, 2021 There was a discussion regarding the rubber seal at the door handle a while back… I expect that these may be Mooney parts available through the MSC…. See if @M20Docknows… The door lock seal may just be related to our favorite key / lock manufacturer… Medeco Good to have for when the temps get colder… Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
