These:https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topages/jackj106.php I left a review on the page, dated Dec. 28th. It was a pretty miserable experience, mostly due to the poor handling of the issue. I wound up buying jacks elsewhere. i have those Jacks ..they work fine on my Bravo using the lasar jack cone
thinwing Posted April 26, 2021 Report Posted April 26, 2021 if my plane had been in the shop getting engine work (lifters ,seals)and I had a trip sheduled soon after ward., i would have .as others suggusted been more proactive in sourcing parts....especially continental or other PMI engine parts .In ,this case ,I have to blame the shop for not actively sourcing these parts.avial, direct continental etc...and by phone ,...sorry for your canceled trip...

And another 8 hours to install the dang things. Would have been easy if Aircraft Spruce had extracted its corporate head from wherever it was stuffed two weeks ago and accomplished what we paid for, including expedited shipping. But that was evidently too much to ask of a gum- chewing dimwit. Yeah...I am still just *a little* upset. But warms my heart to think there are still good folk like you eager to lend a hand. I fear we are SOL this time. Now must go unpack our bags and x the flight plan. Thanks most sincerely!, Generally I have had good experiences with Spruce. However, for engine parts I suggest. I have had good service form both of them Seth at Performance Aircraft Parts, Inc. in Arkansas870-423-3322 or 918-836-6872

As the gear doughnuts, biscuits, disc or what ever you like to call them cause the plane to sit lower as they age, I fabricated my own jacks but the minimum height was based off a set of jacks from Spruce. My disc were in pretty bad shape and neither set of jacks would fit under the wings, had to roll the plane up on 2”x”12” planks, once the new disc were installed it wasn’t an issue 3
75_M20F Posted July 12, 2021 Report Posted July 12, 2021 +1 To having customer service issues with Spruce.
N201MKTurbo Posted July 12, 2021 Report Posted July 12, 2021 (edited) You just get your next door neighbor to put their spine along the lower wing spar and push up with their legs. It will raise the wing up enough to get the jack in and save them a gym membership! Also airing the tires up usually gets it. Edited July 12, 2021 by N201MKTurbo
Guest Posted July 13, 2021 Report Posted July 13, 2021 A few weeks ago while ferrying a Cirrus from Wyoming to Ontario we broke down with alternator issues in Wisconsin. I called Spruce in California, they had the parts I needed on hand and got them boxed and shipped out, but with no guarantee that Fed Ex would deliver the parts. Both companies came thru, parts arrived and installed before noon, home by quitting time. Clarence
