Save your airport

I just got my October 12 edition of General Aviation News, which contains a full page story on our own Mooneygirl and husband(Jolie Lucas and Mitch Latting). It concerns their fight to save Oceana Airport and their support of Mooneys and GA. Kudos.

And the celebrity list goes on. A few pages later I find a two page spread on hypoxia written by our own Amelia Reiheld.

Thank you Don.  We are just trying to inspire others.  Our freedom to fly and our precious airports are #1 to us all and we have to do something to help keep it that way. 

We certainly understand the other issues that concern general aviation.  Politics, economics, Avgas issues, etc.  This is just one way we can all speak up to help get this thing on the map.  Who knows, with promotion and protection of GA and our GA airports from us all, it could help shape and affect some of these other issues as well.

Thank you Don.  It was so nice to meet you in person.  We are doing our best to inspire folks to DO something at their airports, or in their airplanes for the good of G.A. and to inspire the love of flight.  Everyone can do something, even if it is a small thing.  I met Bert today at Deming NM FBO: Desert Aviation.  His wife is an elementary school teacher. Every year he gives a ride to the 35 students in her class.  He says that this ride might be the only time the child will be at the airport or go for a ride.  What an example for us all.
