Hi all—

My partners and I are getting serious about painting our ‘66E, and could use some recommendations for paint shops in the Pacific NW or Northern CA.

We have heard good things about the shop in Yerrington, NV but unfortunately they are booked over a year out.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

ArtCraft has painted a few MSer planes... including a NJMP pilot’s plane a few years ago... Patrick flew across the country and stopped to get the plane painted...?

Jolie’s plane was painted there...

Best regards,

Whatever you do, get her painted in Imron. My '67F was painted in Imron paint in 1994. (on the left. photo was last month. I have other photos, but I don't feel like digging around to post a fucking picture. It looks new)57BC13AB-6296-48D4-84F6-79C72B791D2E.thumb.jpeg.54e80737311a204ecc7334a7b93e8a3b.jpeg

Try Kracon in Lincoln Ca KLHM, 916 645 1614. They painted E three years ago and I was very happy with the service and the finished product.

Try a close to you shop, you may want to supervise occasionally.  I picked a shop 2 hours flying or 6 hours driveling, was not a great experience. Ron

Thanks for the recommendations!  Please keep them coming.

We are quickly realizing that distance to the paint shop is a consideration.  We are located in the PDX area.  There don’t seem to be any shops of the type mentioned so far, in this area.

I know there is a paint shop at Independence (7S5) that is close to you but I have no idea how their prices or quality compare to others.  It's in the hangar just north of the diner.
