The Other Red Baron Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 How many of you guys have these? Quote
midlifeflyer Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 Wow! I definitely like MiraCheck better! Quote
Hank Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 I wrote my own from my Owners Manual and printed it out in both sides (using my single-sided printer) from Word, after searching Help and "printing like a pamphlet" or something similar. Booklet printing! That gave me enough blank pages to retype most of the Performance Charts (skipping things below 2300 and above 2600) so I don't have to flip fragile brown pages in every flight. A quick pamphlet stitch down the middle after soft laminating, and it's been working for 12 years. Sorry for the glare, it's still way dark and the wife's still asleep . . . . 1 Quote

I use one of the non lighted versions on my motorcycle to ensure I travel the better roads and not the ones the GPS wants me to travel . Airplane I use my own laminated or ForeFlight’s checklist. steingar Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 Someone who owned the airplane before me wrote out a bunch of checklists and laminated them. They're fine, and having a superhuman overabundance of lassitude, I just use them. Quote
GDGR Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 I'd really hate to be at one end of the scroll, have an emergency, and have to scroll all the way back for procedures. Quote
The Other Red Baron Posted April 30, 2019 Author Report Posted April 30, 2019 We have a very nice laminated and updated check list for actual use I've just never seen a scrolling checklist like this before. It looks like it even has some kind of back light. All my flying has been in relatively "newer" Cessnas and Maules and they never had this. Quote

I doubt they existed for very long and it's clearly not a new item. Looks like something circa 1970. I've been flying almost 30 years and in over 30 make/models from a 1947 Bonanza to a 201X Diamond, and have never seen one in person. Quote
gsxrpilot Posted May 1, 2019 Report Posted May 1, 2019 I used to have one of those on my motorcycle for enduro racing. Quote
0TreeLemur Posted May 2, 2019 Report Posted May 2, 2019 I made this-. Printed on card stock and laminated it fits right on my kneeboard. 1 Quote
midlifeflyer Posted May 2, 2019 Report Posted May 2, 2019 Don't know why, but I keep thinking of this: 1 Quote
