Baker Avionics Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 SO, I was at one of my customer's hangar yesterday and he showed my this really cool app for both Android and Apple. Check it out and let me know what you think. Also, what other apps do you have that are pretty cool? I use this one as a "mock Flight Tracker" to see if things with my customer's transponders are working.. Flightradar is the name of the app. Quote
jaylw314 Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 Isn't that the same functionality as Flight Aware and other flight tracking sites? IIRC, you will only show up if you have an ADS-B transponder, or if you have a Mode C on an IFR flight plan. Quote

Flightradar24 uses a bunch of personal receivers to track planes. Can't remember if they add the FAA Radar Data into it. There is some annoyance by people who don't want their planes tracked, because they have to request at both the FAA and Flightradar24 and Flightaware. Quote
