I don't want to argue.  But others have mentioned Aeroshell 6, same as Propeller hub, and white in color.  Can someone clarify.  The 6 has the advantage that I already have it on hand for the Prop.

What does the maintenance manual say?  If you're going to be doing any work on your plane, you really should be following what the book says.  FWIW, my manual calls out MIL-G-7711 grease for the landing gear grease fittings, with a note that that's equivalent to Aeroshell 6.  A web search indicates that MIL-G-7711 has been replaced by MIL-PRF-81322, which spec is met by Aeroshell 22.  But that's my manual for my '67F--check the manual for your Acclaim.

My MX manual for a C,E,F,G calls for MIL-G-7711 (AS#6) or MIL-G-81322 (AS#22)... I just keep #6 and #5 around. #6 for the airframe and prop and #5 for the wheel bearings.
