Seth Posted March 15, 2017 Report Posted March 15, 2017 I'm returning from my Florida business trip on Thursday. I figured on the flight home in the afternoon, I can request a flyby of the shuttle facility as I've heard on Mooneyspace. I will be on an IFR flight plan, but can suspend it if needed. What is the specific wording to use when speaking with controllers to get the low approach over the facility? Also, if you have done this before, please give me any pointers. Thanks! -Seth Quote
PTK Posted March 15, 2017 Report Posted March 15, 2017 "...Space shuttle traffic you're number one rw 33 clear to land...keep your speed up please you have Mooney traffic behind you for a low approach..." "...space shuttle traffic...go around ...Mooney traffic on your tail and overtaking you..." 1 Quote
navysix Posted March 15, 2017 Report Posted March 15, 2017 This worked for me: SLF low fly by 3 Quote
TonyK Posted March 15, 2017 Report Posted March 15, 2017 We used to do this often. Just call them up when you are 10 out and ask for the low pass. If they have something going on they will tell you and wave you off or they will give you min alt and you just fly runway heading. Quote
