I was watching a documentary on the Concord last night. Showing a panoramic view of the Smithsonian, there is a Mooney hanging from the ceiling close to the Concord. I could not make out which model it is. I'm sure someone here knows.

it is on my list of things to do, go to the Air and Space museum. I think I would really enjoy it.

If my memory serves me correctly, that's a 1950 Mite....  I believe this particular Mite had the Continental 65-12 engine.  Most Mites have the -8 engine.  The -12 engine was specifially produced for Mooney and had an accessory case that permitted a starter and generator.  If you're interested in buying a Mite, this would be a great model to own.

However, my memory being what it is, it might be a helicopter....

If you're interested in the M-18 Mooney, go to http://mooneymite.com/
