Bob_Belville Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 I see a lot of middle-aged people there. Guess I would fit right in. I resemble that remark! Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk
Mooneymite Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 I see a lot of middle-aged people there. Guess I would fit right in. Nah! That must have been some other Mooney summit. Hardly anyone over 28. I only saw young people and their gorgeous wives. Mike said he was going to have a program on aging eye-sight next year. At least that's what I thought he said. I couldn't hear him very clearly. 1
mike_elliott Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 ....You have to admit, we have a very gorgeous group of wives. Every one of us are over achievers! Thanks so much everyone. 131 people attended, in spite of IFR in and out. You guys ROCK! 7

DonMuncy Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Mike and Ron deserve a ton of credit. It was a great event, and I know how many headaches it takes to organize and run it. I do not plan on missing next year. Don 5
Seth Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 I'm thrilled I was able to attend Mooney Summit III. It was a pleasure to connect with fellow MooneySpacers, Mooney Pilots, and Mooney families. Great informational sessions, great people, and a good time. The informal conversations with aviation engineers, professional pilots with tens of thousands of hours (29,000 was the largest total I spoke with someone about), and tips for fatigue, operations, and safety were priceless. To hear some of the speakers and understand their backgrounds was really an honor. Many organizations realized how powerful it is when you get 100+ type group individuals together for the purpose of bettering the breed. Well done. I know due to weather, a couple of people stayed an extra night (and some rightly cancelled). To avoid the east coast monsoon, I flew up on the west side of the Appalachian Mountains before cutting east through WV to my home in Maryland. Smooth, but long ride. Thank you to ALL that organized this fine event. -Seth 7
mike_elliott Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 Thanks Seth. All of us worked hard to really set the standard of what an event should be like, and I think we hit our marks based on the feedback we have received so far. It is a team effort by a lot of giving people. That said, we are looking to smooth out the rough spots, and amp up the quality even more for next year. Meanwhile, back to the day job of transitioning a new Mooney Acclaim owner! (I love that new plane smell!) 3
