SOLD -- 1965 M20C For Sale

I've decided to sell my M20C and replace it with a newer Ovation.   Currently hangared in Maryland, available now.

Extensive Mooney Service Center Annual In-Process, will be valid to November 2016.   New Transponder and Pitot-Static certifications valid to Oct 2017.

I have owned N5911Q since 2008 and flew it starting in 2000.  I know it has been kept in a hangar since 1975 through 2015.  It is a mostly-stock airframe with cowl closure and a few other mods.   The avionics were renewed in 2013 by stripping out all the old wiring and radios and starting over with modern WAAS equipment.    There's no damage history noted in the logs, all of which exist back to her August 1965 factory roll-out.  Manual gear, hand-pumped flaps are reliable and robust.   Steady mechanical upgrades in the past decade are carefully detailed in the logs.

140 KTAS cruise at 9 GPH and over 950 pounds of useful load make this a good cross-country machine.  It has flown from coast to coast, to Oshkosh, upstate NY and Tennessee this summer alone.

More details in the attached file.    Scanned logs available on request.

I am definitely interested! I joined this site to expedite finding a Mooney for commuting purposes and to learn from people smart on these airplanes. When is the annual due and what are the open squawks on the airplane? Also, is the wing-leveler in working condition?

UPDATE:

Engine was new in 1994.

Fuel tanks have had several spot repairs, not a comprehensive reseal.

Brittain PC wing leveler works.  No coupling to nav or heading bug.

Annual due 30 September 2015

Send me a PM if you want a link to Dropbox folders with pictures and logs.
