I would like to change my U to a W easier to say and the paint mod would be easy, also whiskey was my unwanted nick name when I was a kid now would be cool nick name. Half of my initial calls to ATC requires a repeat of my number even if I annunciate v   e   r   y  slowly. And yes my comm works loud and clear.

What about 312CK?

I can find a jetstar that was deregistered so that may be available. Good call.

It would have been easier had you guys chosen letters rather than numbers and letters.

No,that would just make more combinations to reserve and make cute words from.

Why does the country with fewer planes have a registration system with more ID numbers available? (Sorry, Clarence, I just can't say "ID letters").

I've got N296AM registered for the past 3 year and probably will be another 5 before I have my Mooney. My grandpa's old M20F was N2996L. I loved that plane, she crashed in 03. I want to remember the number while also having my initials :)

A friend of mine put 8888E on his home built, which I thought was fun

Except when you have to make radio calls, that doesn't roll off the tongue.

I would pick something shorter.
