Mcoyne34 Posted June 6, 2015 Author Report Posted June 6, 2015 I'll be moving to Dallas in July so I'll make a trip down there then. Would you still recommend a PPI when buying from a place like that? Quote
DonMuncy Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 Yes, get a PPI. I implicitly trust AA to tell you everything they know about the plane, but they don't necessarily know everything. Incidentally, the owner may not know everything you, as the buyer, will want to know. 1 Quote
Yetti Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 AA is the sellers agent. Like with real estate it is good to have a buyers agent. It is easy to get the planes over to Don Maxwell and he be your buyers agent. 1 Quote
carusoam Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 PPI is critical to protecting your wallet from your "investment." When purchasing expensive, used, machinery with no warranties or guaranties the buyer is responsible for his own mistakes. There is risk when buying used old machinery... One nice thing, there are reputable people selling used old machinery. (There are the others as well) The other nice thing, a used O can fly as fast as a new O, for half the price... The coolest thing, a 50yr old M20C will fly faster than the newest C172... Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
Mcoyne34 Posted June 6, 2015 Author Report Posted June 6, 2015 Anyone have a ballpark figure for a PPI? I know they can vary greatly depending on who does it. Quote
