ryoder Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 I left my hangar unlocked because I thought I was going to fly again, I forgot to lock it and I came back and the plane wasn't there. I don't know what to do. This stinks! This is total BS! Quote

They came back from their overnight trip to find that their Cessna was stolen during the night. It does happen...... Quote

HRM Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 I believe Colton is still incarcerated, so most likely wasn't him. ...besides, you need shoes to fly a Mooney. Quote
Marauder Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Who is Colton? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colton_Harris-Moore Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
HRM Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Who is Colton? The so-called Barefoot Bandit. Of interest to pilots (and this thread, albeit tongue-in-cheek) because he stole a number of aircraft. Amazingly, he learned to fly solely from MS Flight Simulator. He became the substantiation for what I often tell people: the only really hard part about flying is landing. He basically crash landed all the planes he stole. Quote
fantom Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 ........ I often tell people: the only really hard part about flying is landing. .......until your first serious in-flight emergency. 1 Quote
Mooneymite Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 t I often tell people: the only really hard part about flying is landing. He basically crash landed all the planes he stole. Ha! The hardest part about flying is affording it.....which is why he stole planes. Our tax assessor keeps telling me that because I own an airplane I am rich and should pay more than my share of taxes. I keep telling her that because I own an airplane, I'm poor. She continually declines to purchase my plane for what she assesses it at. 1 Quote
HRM Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 .......until your first serious in-flight emergency. Still gotta land, remember: TO optional, landing required. IFE just makes the landing a bit more challenging. Quote
