mooneygirl Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Mooney Lover dinner tonight at 7ish at Friar Tucks. #OSH14 Be there if you are a Backward Tail Lover. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 I hope you made a reservation.... Quote
201er Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 That restaurant sucked a big one. I would caution anyone from going there. The Mooney Caravan BBQ dinner was the best food at Oshkosh, no joke. Quote
sreid Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 I lived in Fond du Lac for awhile and always found Friar Tucks to be fantastic! The rest of the year (not during EAA) you can taxi right up to the gate and walk straight into the restaurant. Wishing I was there... Steve Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 I had a great time there last year. Drank with two airline pilots, an owner of a restaurant chain and a congressman. They all had Mooneys except the congressman, he had a T6 Quote
rocketman Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 Great food. Great company Great conversations. Great airshow. Great weather. Great airplane. My mooney brought this all to me Thanks Jolene Quote
mooneygirl Posted August 2, 2014 Author Report Posted August 2, 2014 We had 21 in the Moo-Crew at Friar Tucks. They don't accept reservations. To be honest we had so much fun talking and laughing I really didn't notice the food. I had a burger which was good. It was nice to meet Mooney Spacers and Mooney Lovers. 1 Quote
201er Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 Looks like it was a blast! Sorry I bailed early and couldn't make it. Quote
aaronk25 Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 Not sure but I had dinner there with yves and his wife. Great time with my French-Canadian friends! He got a new paint job too. Quote
Andy95W Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 Thanks for posting the pictures, we're sorry we missed out! Quote
TabulaRasa Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Ok, who are all those people? The Asian guy with the 60th Anniversary Kerrville Mooney t-shirt in the second picture is me. I guess this marks my first post to Mooneyspace as well but I've been here lurking, reading, learning about Mooneys here and elsewhere for a while. I'm a fairly recent Mooney pilot with about 50 hours in type and about 280hr. total. All my Mooney time is in a M20J. I camped out in the N40 for a full week. No I don't work for the factory or Soaring America.... YET! 1 Quote
