  1. I think after 2020 the mandate requires the equipment be installed as part of an STC or TC from the OEM. This installation, if legal now, wont be legal after 2020 without an STC. Without a DER signing off the design today, approving the engineering, I question the legality of it.
  2. I never understood why the FAA allowed this SB. Lets put something in the line that can restrict fuel flow. The right thing to do was to replace the dukes with a Weldon pump.
  3. carefully peal the sticker back, you'll have all the proof you need.
  4. When I upgraded my panel, I replaced all my breakers and saved my old ones in a box. If you post a part number and I have what you need, I'll send it to you.
  5. +2 I did the same thing. It was part of the panel upgrade.
  6. For those of us that will have to maintain the system: if you peel back the Brittain sticker off the air filter, you will find this part number https://www.walmart.com/ip/FRAM-Fuel-Filter-G12/16817248?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=618&adid=22222222227016736218&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40838584712&wl4=pla-78651944552&wl5=9010815&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=16817248&wl13=618&veh=sem
  7. Are you getting temps like that in the winter? I would be extremely bothered by that.
  8. Charlie at AWI can help you, his direct number is 651-379-9854
  9. A few of us on here have the MVP-50P. I really like mine. I haven't really had any issues other than bad crimps, The support from the factory is great.
  10. I had the exact same problem and came to the same conclusion as you. I was way to deep into it to change. I was bother by that decision for a while but since I only fly one airplane it became a non issue.
  11. that's why you install an override switch http://www.mooney.com/en/sb/M20-196A.pdf
  12. I learned something. If you're panel is still apart and its not to much trouble, I'd love to see a picture.
  13. How can you have an accutrak installed without the brittain turn and bank indictiator?
  14. Why do you need a new digital autopilot? there is a accutrak on here for sale with the valve that I would jump on. That's what I installed and I couldn't be happier. Tracks the magenta line like a champ.
  15. I had the exact question you have now when I redid my panel. If you pull up the TCDS from rgl.faa.gov the required placards are referenced. Many of them are silly but since its part of the Type Data, best you put them somewhere. Last thing you need is an argument with some future IA you will hire someday. I'll look for a picture of my panel and send it to you.
  16. the numbers on the radios are constantly being refreshed, the shutter on the camera, acts like a strobe. Same effect happens to the prop too
  17. Ceci, I am very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.
  18. They share the same reservoir but they are two independent systems. The tap for the flaps is on the side of the reservoir while the brakes come out the bottom. If you have air in the flap system, doubtful it will affect the brakes unless the reservoir is completely dry.
  19. So, I'm wondering if that would change the airflow sporadically and give you the issue you are experiencing. I would fix that first the see what you have.
  20. do those cracks on the boot go all the way through?
  21. Are you kidding me? Anthony, wait until your aircraft becomes old like mine. The factory has all but abandoned support for an older model like mine. Thank God for LASAR.
  22. Right on Jim. Thats what I thought this thread was about. To bad, like most topics around here, morphed into bitch session.
  23. you got that right! and the older I get, the more important that is.
  24. It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend to fly an hour and a half flight. I don't think you could have asked for better conditions!!
  25. Ignore them. You both should just live your lives. They shouldn't be living yours for you.
