  1. It is becoming more and more likely I will need an avionics master relay for my 1988 "J". Mooney no longer supplies that part. Any suggestions on where to find one?
  2. 1964 Mooney M20D Serial #224. 6314TT, 2243SMOH, 1hr on Prop IRAN, "Johnson Bar" manual gear, touchscreen Garmin GTN-650, touchscreen L3 Lynx ADS-B w/WiFi, Garmin SL30 NAV/COMM, Insight G1 Graphic Engine Monitor, King KMA24 Audio panel, Flightcom recorder, Flightcom 4-place intercom, interior 7, paint 7, standby vacuum, LED landing light, O&N Bladders, All Aircraft & Prop logs, Engine logs 2 & 3 (two overhauls since first log) in paper and .pdf format. Last owner from 1965-2016 was active flying club in Flint, MI. Powertow EZ35 included. (<---from my barnstormer ad). Also has a certified Stratus dual-USB port installed. Transponder and IFR cert completed in mid-2019 (I need to check the logs for an exact date). Both magnetos overhauled by Aircraft Magneto Service about 84 hours ago. Engine does not leak oil except for a little bit around the dipstick tube. Hartzell 3-blade prop inspection and re-seal by Stallings Aircraft Propeller also included him installing updated seals per Hartzell SB. ALWAYS hangared and ALWAYS registered in Michigan. Muffler overhauled, all gear disc' s replaced, Reiff pan heater, and front shoulder harnesses installed (late 2016 by Lapeer Aviation). Vacuum pump replaced 8/2018. The AI and DG overhauled in 2019. The ugly: The Century IIB is flaky; I would bet $1M that it is something to do with one of the Amphenol connectors. Has typical hangar rash. I'm selling this as I moved near KOSH and I'm getting into E-LSA's. I no longer have long cross-country's in my mission nor can afford to keep this around. I spent nearly $15k for my "First Annual" at Lapeer Aviation (former MSC) who had a Mooney-experienced IA & pilot take a good look at it. They replaced all of the sloppy control parts (pushrods, links, etc.) and anything that was an airworthiness concern. I can send you the receipts. Aircraft is located in Northern Michigan. You could fly into Sault Sainte Marie, MI KCIU / "CIU" (Delta) or Marquette, MI KSAW / "MQT" or "ESC" or "IMT" (Delta, American) and fly this away or I could fly it to you. I have no hesitation flying to across the USA. Currently receiving an annual inspection. Your A&P/IA could fly into CIU or MQT/ESC/IMT to do a prebuy inspection too (airfare is crazy-cheap right now). No lien; I own this free and clear. I can email you .pdf logs, FAA registration history, and title search documents (from when I bought this in 2016). Asking $39,900 PM me if you have any questions.
  3. I need to replace the pilot's brake master cylinders in my 1967 F model. Before I throw down for a set of 10-24D upgrades, does anyone have a set of Cleveland 10-49 master cylinders in good condition that I could buy off of you, or a good place to get them? It needs to be soon; I'll probably pull the trigger on buying the 10-24D's this afternoon. Thanks for any information. Sincerely, Craig Steffen
  4. So I finished installation of all my interior panels after a long remodeling process and now my avionics master switch will not power my avionics. The only thing I can think that would have anything to do with it is when I disconnected the speaker and lighting wires on the overhead panel. I have always had an additional switch in the circuit breaker panel that also powers my avionics as an alternate source but now it is the only way I can get power to the avionics. I also noticed that when I cranked the aircraft to run it up, the aircraft wants to shut down if I select the right magneto. When I select the left magneto I don't even get a drop on RPM. Does anyone have an idea as to what might be causing these issues?
  5. Good Evening Mooneyspace folks, Discrepancy: Noticed radio static during run-up, after annual completion. Background: "high low volts" problem discovered during night landing 4/10/2013 (discovered 24V landing light installed in 14V system, R & R with PMA LED Landing Light. Replaced voltage regulator, Oil Pressure system and Fuel Pressure system amplifiers, CHT and probe R & R’d….returned to service 5-11-2013 (cost $3500) "high low volts" problem 1/13/2014 (see Annunciator Troubleshooting) Radio Static Repair: After researching Mooneyspace, several forum posts recommended checking master switch first for corrosion. While inspecting for corrosion all “male terminals” on back of switch were clean. However one “female” terminal appeared burnt at locations where previous maintenance had crimped vinyl heat shrink. The wire run appears to go to voltage regulator Notes from attached photos: 1) Burn marks common to crimped locations 2) Discoloration of 0.25” female terminal connection 3) No discoloration of 18 AWG wiring. (0.1 milliohms) 1-27-14, I will install new pre soldered AWG 18 terminal end and heat shrink to R & R wire terminal end. Question: Has anyone else seen burnt wiring and do you know what the root cause was? Thank You Steve
  6. Note: found a way to purchase this airplane from my friend.
