  1. clean it, clean it, clean it. then leave it alone
  2. Are you practicing your safety wire so he doesn't give you grief next year?
  3. Love the paint scheme. Where did you get that done? details would help you sell this. price, hours, etc....... or a link to your brokers site
  4. I assume you have the old style oil pressure indicator?
  5. I've flown behind one of these four years now. I look at the value and the color. I never look at the carets
  6. Just cancel it. I have an MVP-50 because of exactly what you stated. JPI's customer nonservice. I have not been disappointed. In fact, I think the MVP-50 is superior to what I was looking at. Thank you JPI.......
  7. It saves the air force money, they don't have to determine airworthiness. Just operational suitability.
  8. Since the waiting list in Cartersville is about 8 years, that sounds like a great deal for someone who wanted to base there.
  9. That's right.
  10. I lube it up once, only to find that the lubricate just picks up dirt. So now I just clean it real good with brake cleaner.
  11. Its not the same thing at all. Vref doesn't take into account weight, bank angle, power effects, CG, etc AOA is what you need to understand how close you are to stall. Vref just gives you a speed with a safe margin over stall established during certification testing. If you just want to take off from one 5000 ft runway and fly as fast as you can to the next 5000 ft runway, you wont find this device useful. But if you want to start getting into places that might be a little short with obstacles, then you definitely will.
  12. .......then get a new partner. It would be a lot cheaper
  13. I agree 100 percent.
  14. He's still illegal doing that because no one updated the weight and balance.
  15. He doesn't need a conformity inspection. This isn't a MIDO issue. A DAR can't help him. He needs to document that the design change was to FAA approved source data. I gave him the cheapest path out of his dilemma. He doesn't want to use the source data because he does have the right to use Garmin proprietary data. I guess he needs to pay Garmin to use the data. Then he can follow the path.
  16. I did that along with getting an extra battery pack
  17. Just get your A&P to generate a 337 that says installed 530 per STC whatever and site the Garmin STC number on the form. The 337 will go to Oklahoma because its using FAA approved data. Then your A&P makes a log book entry and signs. Get a copy of the flight manual supplement and keep it in your airplane. You should be good to go.
  18. +1 for AWI, I used them. Call Charlie Feld 651-379-9854. They have a PMA, will make you up a new system.
  19. I got mine from wicks about a year ago. I just looked at their website and it says call from quote. I quick internet search and the cheapest I see today is $650. Guess I got lucky.
  20. I have the sunspot. I absolutely love it. You should be able to find it for $575 if you search hard enough
  21. did the agent say that you need 10 hours dual in "make and type" or you need 10 hours dual in your new F model? If its the later, you probably already satisfied that requirement and you should just fly it home. I would venture to guess that the agent doesn't know the difference between a C and an F and they were just reading off a script prepared for them.
  22. https://blog.foreflight.com/2018/07/11/foreflight-introduces-sentry-ads-b-receiver/ That looks pretty impressive.
  23. http://www.steveweaver.com/n9513v.htm looks like he has only owned it for a year.
