  1. from airnav..... DEER & BIRDS ON & INVOF ARPT.
  2. Vance, just wondering if the airplane trimmed different after you did this?
  3. I found the same to be true with the flaps when the actuator was replaced. The only thing that got the air out was to fly it and the service the reservoir.
  4. where are you doing this?
  5. The difference between and ODA and an ACO........
  6. Are you able to inspect the wing spar? or is that not accessible until you get the wing apart?
  7. The flaps and brakes are two different systems that share a reservoir. After making sure you have enough hydraulic fluid then I would suspect that the flap valve is leaking and needs to be rebuilt. The first place I would go, is to call Dan at LASAR to see if they rebuild them.
  8. its just gumps, gumps, gumps and speed control.....
  9. Do you have an MVP-50 installed?
  10. Avidyne's policy is stupid. Sounds to me like the lawyers were involved with it. Do you think Avidyne has any idea the health of every semiconductors device they purchase from their distributors that gets installed in their units? That's why every unit is goes through an ESS and ATP to declare it airworthy. This is ridiculous. Something happened at Avidyne in the last 5 years. They are becoming more like Garmin everyday. I think this is my last straw. Dynon looks better and better all the time. Does Avidyne read this board? I hope they do. Idiots...... Frank, thanks for posting this.
  11. I really think the paint shop wants your airplane completed just as bad as you do. You lost your slot in the schedule and now you are fill in work. Covid has changed the everything. Supply issues, labor issues..... My advice is just be patient with them. Frankly you really have no choice at this point. The last thing you want is for them to cut corners.
  12. If you want it bad, you're going to get it bad. Find the shop with the best reputation and get on their list.
  13. So are you saying that if Delta, American, Southwest, Etc mods an aircraft in the States with an FAA STC or if they do a major alteration on a 337, they are no longer airworthy in Canada?
  14. As a test, , depin com2 and install the LHS in there and let us know what happens.
  15. Thank you sir. That clarifies things for me.
  16. Do you have impulse couplers or a shower of sparks? My ignition switch has a position to turn on the vibrator, then engage the starter. I just bring that up because I don't see a separate switch for the vibrator. I guess you could tie it to the starter solenoid.
  17. This uses a laser for range finding. The 5G issue is for radar altimeters.
  18. Mitch, did you forget to post the link to the story?
  19. If your E model is like my F model, the only thing the master switch controls is the master relay. It completes the coil circuit to ground. Go to the master relay with a jumper and complete the circuit to engage it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, best you get someone who does because if you do it wrong you may start a fire. If the "seance " continues, its not the switch. My guess is there is nothing wrong with the switch or the master relay. You probably have old, corroded circuits breakers for your avionics.
  20. what's a VOR?
  21. Don't fill it to the very top, leave a couple of inches from the cap.
  22. If you're looking for the math to justify the decision, it never will. The math says we should never own an airplane, we should rent. This is strictly an emotional decision.
  23. Congratulations Mike, She looks awesome. Love the red. Go dawgs. Did the same guys who did the paint do the interior as well?
  24. Just don't forget to put the gear down and go have some fun. Remember GUMPS and take an instructor, You'll have a blast and probably not look back. Life is short.
