  1. Sallisaw and Poteau Do not have any food near by. I have flown into Poteau many times, easy to get into and out, no radar coverage down low.
  2. I never wanted to be an instructor, you need to teach by letting students learn by there mistakes and good examples. Sometimes their mistakes can hurt you or someone else.
  3. We were planning to go out with the R.V. next week. This was our first major destination. Hopefully later this summer.
  4. I had an engine failure in a C310. I broke an rocker tower on 1cylinder on a6 cylinder IO470. That engine would only produce about 1500 rpm with the throttle reduced on the ground. Failure was on the runway just before rotation, fortunately a wide runway. If this happened 2 seconds later, it would have been feathered and hopefully flown around the pattern. Scary times. A single heavy at night, no thanks. Ron
  5. These are not approved by Mooney, but should be approved for cirrus.
  6. It’s your money, and your but in the left seat, kids, wife. You’re choice.
  7. I have a sporty’s that I will sell. Works great, I can double check soon. Ron
  8. Mitch was correct, there is not a red button to push on many “Fs”. I did have the plane retrofitted years later. Ron
  9. You need the correct adjustment. Mine was set to high, a high density altitude ,I could not retract the gear or, climb, shoving the nose down at 25’ agl is not fun, and when the runway disappears behind you, big pucker factor. Gear finally cycled and I climbed out as per book numbers.
  10. Aircraft that sit around, may be much more expensive than the purchase price, you will need cash reserve’s. Upgrades are really expensive and may add some to the value.
  11. Parker, what percent of these owners do you think will purchase another plane?
  12. Personal opinion would be a 4 point would be better than 3. In November of 17 , wrecked my Jeep Wrangler. I hit several oak trees at an estimated 55 to 60 mph. I stopped in about 3 feet. With a 3 point harness, I popped the airbag and hit my head on the steering wheel, dented the wheel and needed 7 staples, and fractured ribs from the belt. The cause of the accident was never determined. I don’t think that I am 100% today. Sold the plane and retired. Be safe, fly safe. Ron
  13. Would it be practical for Boeing to re-engine 2 large engines onto it?
  14. Sales tax in CA also varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
  15. Advanced aircraft in Troutdale did mine. It took about 3 weeks and they replaced the rubber fuel hoses that go from the tank to under the floor, and the fuel tank float gaskets.
  16. Paul. Who were the passengers that flew with you in China? Potential buyers, air taxi etc? Thx. Ron
  17. What is Mooney’s liability on the crashed plane. Wasn’t there a gear collapse also?
  18. Whatever plane you have, in today’s world, new avionics will be outdated in 10 years. I put a 430W, Stec 30, etc in my F about 12 years ago, now they are getting old, not obsolete, but do they have another 10 years in them for IFR?
  19. You need fresh air coming in low on your walls. You should have 2 vents for proper ventilation. Condensation is the problem. Water leaking in from poor drainage. i have installed 100’s of these vents, no problem as long as they are turning. Ron
