  1. You can get heavy duty large tarps from tarp companies, similar to what trucking companies and fumigation companies use. Maybe Mitch can chime in, I think he built something for Jolie’s plane to keep the dust etc. off.
  2. Check with welding supply shops. They can refill it also. You may need a prescription though. Ask your doctor, he should write it out for you. also, ask your local fob’s who to go to.
  3. Looks great, but where is your gear switch?
  4. The responsible pilot, party’s or estate may want to contact an attorney that specializes in insurance to protect their interests. I had to do this once, it was amazing what the insurance company was doing. The $5,000.00 was well spent.
  5. On my F cowl flaps would depend on outside temp. If it was cold I could take off with them closed and keep the cylinders below 360. I always landed with them closed. You need to have an engine monitor to be able to access accurate temps.
  6. If you still have problems, let me know. We can get together. I am near Poteau. KRKR. Ron
  7. I would taxi all the time very lean. Shut down at 1100 rpm. When ready to restart, do not move the throttle, prop or mixture. Do not turn on the fuel pump. Crank engine and advance the mixture slo. W. Ly. It should start quickly. This worked for me in my f for years. Ron
  8. Pull the cable, the door opens. This is the little door approximately 2” x4” above the air filter. Most people will get about 1” rise in manifold pressure bypassing the air filter.
  9. Mooney serial numbers can be confusing. Example; 68 005. Could be a C, E, F or a G..
  10. As a thought, the a&p a couple of hangers down. Will his business have a plane or 2 blocking the taxi occasionally?
  11. I had a 69f for 10+ years. That plane has a 69 panel and throttle quadrant. Useful load was about 1040#’s also, equipped somewhat the same. I miss it though.
  12. Please read the ad, if I remember correctly there is a 200 hour inspection on the gears.
  13. It could be slung using the motor mounts, remove the tail and use the huck bolts, remove ailerons and use the hinge points. Without the engine and prop, you are probably lifting 1100 - 1200 pounds. Ron
  14. I had a piece of angle iron on my back wall as a guide, helped a lot. I have reflective tape in my shop for helping with trailers.
  15. I had a neglected C320 next to me for years. Rumor had it, the owner bought it as management for a company. About the time the company did not need it, the engines went bad. The company said oh well. Owner did not have the money, but to protect his credit paid the payment. Rent was a headache for all. I looked at it, figured $150,000 plus to make it jive, for a $50,000 plane. How many owners are in the same shape?
  16. Can you name the company you work for as an additional insured? Ask the company attorney if he can help find a mutual solution.
  17. In Mariposa KMPI ca i believe they have an F available.
  18. Before flying, find the old seal and remove it. The old seal can block air going into the fuel injection system. No air, no power…
  19. Ask Don Maxwell what is the registration on the the predator?
  20. I had a claim against my business liability. My insurance company paid attorneys to represent them. I ended up hiring an attorney that specializes in insurance law. It was very interesting and prevented my insurance company from putting me under part of the bus…. Glad to retire and end that headache.
  21. Approximately 10 years ago Lasar would close for several weeks at Christmas…..
  22. Try Johnson propellor outside of Bakersfield Ca. He took my old one. And put a B hub on it. I had good blades that he wanted, this was 7 8 years ago.
