fantom Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 Fly-in to the Fabulous Ocean Reef p { margin: 0; } SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH Our Goldcoast 99s friend, Barbara Taylor, has once again invited us to ‘play for a day’ at the exclusive Ocean Reef Resort in Key Largo. Whether you fly-in or drive-in this is a special treat not to be missed! The Resort is usually CLOSED to all outsiders! As Barbara’s guests, however, we are welcome to use all the facility has to offer! Bring your bathing suit (of course!) as well as any golf clubs and tennis rackets you may want to play with! We will have full use of all Ocean Reef facilities for the day. DATE: Saturday, September 8th TIME: Arrive early on Saturday and take advantage of the many amenities at Ocean Reef. Be there by 11:00am in time to join the group for lunch at noon. Vans will escort us from the airport terminal to the central hotel reservation area where we will exchange credit card information for an ‘Ocean Reef’ pass. (You will give your credit card number to a representative in the main reception area. You will then be given an Ocean Reef card on which you may charge all your purchases.) LUNCH: Will be in the Galley Restaurant (I think) at noon RSVP: Myra by Thursday, September 6th mjbugbee@comcast.net or (954) 430-9812 home or (732) 266-0685 cell Registration forms are required to be filled in for the airport if you are flying your aircraft in. (e-mail me if you need them) Even if you have flown into Ocean Reef before, you MUST now re-register your aircraft and indicate the number of persons who will be arriving with you. Please fax these forms as indicated directly to the airport. Landing fees will be waived for us. If you are driving, please supply me (Myra) with your color/type of car and license number and how many people will travel with you. (If you are not sure, just guestimate.) Also, remember there is no fuel on the field so plan ahead. Please read the many rules on the attached documents. Come join the fun at the exclusive Ocean Reef Resort. Restaurants, the ‘Fishing Village’ and shops will be open to us. Golf & tennis will be available as usual . The lagoon with outdoor tiki bar is open and there is a pool at one of the apartment buildings. (only for non-flying pilots LOL) Lunch will be chosen directly from the menu at ‘The Galley’ so we will have separate checks. If you are really in the mood for a ‘weekend off’ at a fabulous Florida resort, book yourself into the hotel for the weekend. The marina is also available to us for any of you who wish to sail/powerboat in for the weekend or just overnight. Docking rates will apply! Any questions on this not-to-be-missed event, contact me (Myra) at (954) 430-9812 or (732) 266-0685 or: mjbugbee@comcast.net P.S. Friends, relatives and 49 1/2s are ALL welcome! Quote
