This aircraft is an experimental aircraft, because it doesn’t have the original engine in it. The engine is a Lycoming IO-360-A1A. I did a light top end overhaul on it, but still needs to be test run. Propeller needs to be overhauled. Airframe has around 4000 hours on it, according to logs. New tires and tubes. Has all Bendix King avionics.

How come all of the photos are of the engine? Who cares? This guy needs to post some of the rest of the airplane, including the interior if he wants to sell.

When one does that, is it not Experimental Exhibition? I bet there's a lot of devil in the details of the operating limitations.

man that's something of a scary ad.  light top overhaul ?  experimental? 

my understanding you can put an io-360-a1a on that airframe all you want, nothing experimental about it.  maybe it's a guy just not wanting to put a lot of work into his posting

It could be done as a major modification with a 337, and I don't think it'd be the first time that somebody did that.    A records/logbook check would show whether it was really just a modification or somebody actually put it in experimental temporarily for some reason.

The description is a bit suspicious, for sure.

60K seems like a lot to pay---for a problem.
