Skinnypilot Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 Hello I am a first time buyer drinking from the fire hose. Looking for a good Mooney log book inspector. Also any recommendations for a good pre buy in the Atlanta area. Thank you Andy ca Quote
802flyer Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 I would definitely check out the prebuy service from https://www.savvyaviation.com/, which can handle the logbook review and help you coordinate a prebuy. Their main Mooney expert is a frequent contributor here. I wish I had looked into it when I was a first-time-buyer. Last I checked, their pricing seemed very reasonable and probably would have paid for itself given that the review and prebuy which I sourced myself resulted in a few missed items that I’m confident they would have caught easily. Pinecone Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 I used @jetdriven as a guide/mentor to my purchase. He found things on a couple of planes that were deal killers. He also found a plane for me (but the owner backed out from selling). I sent him logs electronically to review. And he is not that far away from ATL to be considered for doing the prebuy. But there are closer ones. 1 Quote
Hank Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 Joey Cole in Dalton is within driving distance, and is a Mooney Service Center. KDNN. 1 Quote
PeterRus Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 I second Joey Cole -- he'll provide a good feedback if you have scanned logbooks. Quote
RangerM20 Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 I'm at LZU, an A&P/IA and know Mooney. 1 Quote
Fritz1 Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 all good calls, discovery process, reading for sale ads and logbooks for a while does not cost anything and gives you a wealth of information, most important thing is to find out what you really want, this may change during the discovery and the whole process may take a couple of months, enjoy the journey!
