Jeff Uphoff Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 Oof. The inundation map at NHC right now forecasts 9-foot over-ground surge on KTPF's island. Quote
exM20K Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 For anyone with a hangar in the path of this storm, and it is progged to maintain at least TS winds all the way across the peninsula, it would be worthwhile to check the security of all the hangar doors in your building. People are often inattentive to the importance of throwing the bottom pins on sliders or bi-fold doors and side latches on bifold doors, and if one door fails, the likelihood of the whole building being lost goes up greatly. -dan 1 Quote

They were all caused by hangar door failures. 1 Quote

exM20K Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 And just like that, this pops up on my youtube feed. Complete with a damaged mooney that appears to have floated out of its hangar. 1 1 Quote
moodychief Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 If anyone needs to evacuate, Missouri is having great weather right now!! We had to fly to Southern Georgia last week to pick up our two young grandsons. They still don’t have power at my son’s house just north of Valdosta and school is cancelled until Oct 17. 1 Quote
