The trail dust used to cut off your tie and staple it up on the wall

I guess that was the place.  We had gone straight from the show and had not changed since it was a working dinner.  And I was warned walking in by some other people I knew.  But we saw an Exec from some company or network that didn't.  He was not happy they sliced his NY priced silk tie! :D

Well... He looked like he was not happy.  But then he got to bitch about how they sliced his tie off in FW for years!

I'm waiting to see about a night flight tonight (Thursday). But if you're getting in this afternoon and interested in dinner with a small group message me.

THURSDAY NIGHT DINNER

We don't really know anything about the area, but we made a reservation at Classic Cafe At Roanoke @ 7:30.  Give a call on the hotel phone if you want us to try and increase the reservation number.

Thanks Paul for the engine data analysis and pictures of charts showing what we need to look for and what symptoms the tends are telling us from the charts.

This was my 3rd PPP event. Never disappointed. Getting together with old friends and making new friends while learning and enjoying our aircraft.

Hope everyone got home safely.

7.0 Hobbs time for 1095nm, non-stop.   SUPER smooth ride at 17,000.

It was great seeing previous (I won't say OLD :D ) friends and making new ones.  And putting faces with some names from online.

If anyone finds this thread in the future wondering if the Mooney Safety Foundation Pilot Proficiency Program (PPP) is worth it...

Yes it is

The all day ground school (we were scheduled from 7am to 4pm) was like a fire hose of information. I have pages and pages of notes from it I've barely digested. That's on-top of the training manual handed out at the beginning that we barely scratched.

But let's talk about the flying. First off, you'll get your BFR and IPC checked off during your flights. But more importantly is the practical education, tips, and tricks you'll get flying your plane with an instructor. I've had tons of instruction over the last year working on my instrument rating, but let me tell you how crazy it was to get actual instruction on how to fly my Ovation.

Highly recommend the program, and will be back.

I’ve been to about a dozen programs and still get a good deal of worthwhile ground and flight instruction

They kept me low all the way across the metroplex.  Some minor tail wind.

And I run around 63% power, LOP.   So only burned about 70 gallons to do the trip.

And I need the rigging checked.  I think it is off after the upgrade of autopilot.
