He was inbound to Dallas Airpark (F69) and he told Addison he couldn't find it in the dark. Ended up overshooting and ADS tower had him turn back around and he then said he had sight of the airport and was going to shoot the approach. Tower asks if he is going around and no response. This is verbage from a friend, I did NOT listen to it but it is so sad. I go in to Airpark all the time as our daughter lives very close. It is hard to find during the day, I bet it is VERY hard to find at night in the sea of lights around Addison. Prayers to all involved! Lateral guidance to every runway in the database and many with vertical guidance when obstructions don’t disallow.
