How Difficult to re-locate a Bus Bar?

I have a potential issue with fitting a Garmin Aera in the gigantic 795 mount on my co-pilot panel of my '65 E.  How difficult to relocate or "split the bar into two sections"?

Is this the original buss bar on the lower right copilot’s panel?  An appropriate sized wire with ring terminals tying the two sections together might be employed… a picture with more definition of your potential interference could be useful…

It is NOT the oem lower left bar.  It is a horizontal bar a couple inches above that were added later.  Original still has a RADIO 20a breaker, but a COM 1 COM 2 NAV 1 NAV 2 are above.  Is that necessary?

The easy way to tell (without tracing wires) is to pull the breaker (or disconnect the ring terminal) and see what doesn’t turn on.

Most of the STCs for the newer avionics specify which breakers are required. So, yes they are probably necessary. The STCs don't specify where they are located. If you want to modify the installation, consult the installation manuals for the avionics for wire gauges. If they don't give any guidance, use 43.13-1B.

I was just wondering what purpose "radio" 20amp in OEM bar had with individual nav and com breakers?

The original radio breaker is probably a leftover from days gone by. Is it even in the circuit for the new radios? If it is, I would probably bypass it.

BTW, your upside down breaker would drive me nuts...

Maybe the 20A breaker feeds the radio breakers above?  Replace it with a breaker/switch and then you have an avionics master?

I wouldn't be surprised. My F had mess of connections and inline fuses installed over 50+ years. I found out all of avionics were tied to that one CB which could create disaster. Eventfully I added the additional CB row with Buss bar and cleaned the wiring.
