Hello, I'm a budding Mooney enthusiast and am looking to get involved in any local clubs, or just trying to make friends with any local Mooneyac. I'm a 48 year old, instrument rated Navy vet, and working as an electrical engineer. Eventually I'd either like to buy a vintage Mooney or possibly go in on a partnership. But I have zero hours in a Mooney.

Welcome to the forum.

Tell us which airport you wish to make home base. What's the identifier? What is your GA flying experience?

Thank you for your service.

Welcome again.

Thank you! XLL Queen City is the closest to home. I'm rejoining GA after a long hiatus. I have over 250 hrs, an instrument rating, as well as my high performance endorsement. I'm currently working on my BFR (dual instruction at XLL) and intend to work my way back to full proficiency.

You are a short hop in a Mooney.

If you buy lunch, I will pop up (maybe bring a friend) and show off my plane. :D

I am former USAF, but I won't hold that against you, my Dad was a carrier based Naval Aviator.

Welcome back, I took 20 years off from flying and just got back a couple of years ago.   It will come back quickly.

Welcome cruiserflyer,

I bounce back and forth between Quakertown and Virginia, I'll let you know when I have my plane in Quakertown and we can go fly and talk Navy.

Welcome.  I fly a '68C based at KPNE and am happy to help you any way I can. I've had it approaching 10 years now, got my IR in it 5 years ago, fly it quite regularly, and am still in love with the plane.  I can also attest that @orionflt in Quakertown is a terrific resource and helped me out a ton as I was settling into owning and maintaining my plane.
