Not an MSC but a SUPERB shop is RPM Aircraft Services at KGAI.  Our very own Byron (JetDriven) here on MS.

I had my annual done at Air-Mods, and the they did a great job, but I often had difficult getting ahold of them. leaving messages, un-retunred calls, follow-ups that never happen. 

C&W has much better service and does as good if not better job

+1 For Air-mods. Just don't land on the centerline, that runway is a bit beat up..

Was there a significant price difference between the two NJ shops?

C&W is much closer to NYC… with real estate costs that are similar…

AirMods is surrounded by farmlands in the garden state…

My friend is getting his second annual done at Freedom Aviation at Lynchburg VA. They may be a bit too south compared to where you're looking, however they're detailed in their work and do a good job at communicating.

the small difference in price was well worth it given the much lower frustration level, and how much closer it is to me.
