Saying hello, just moved near KLUK

Hi everyone, I am an aspiring vintage Mooney owner looking to make a few contacts around Cincinnati. I just relocated from Columbus to Cincinnati, Ohio and am looking to see if there is anyone local to the Cincinnati area who might enjoy some hangar flying. My flying experience so far has been limited to 172s and 182s in central Ohio, but I'm budgeting for a Mooney in the future while still flying as part of a club. I live under the KLUK class D ring and I69/Sporty's is relatively close too. I'm hoping there are a few MSer's local to the area who wouldn't mind swapping stories of their Mooney ownership experience as well as GA flying around the area. Feel free to post here or PM me if you are interested in meeting up.

I live in Eastgate, based out of Clermont. Currently, my Mooney is down for Overhaul but hoping by July.

Good point, @carusoam, hope to see some events soon. I read up on prior events and think the Mooney-specific training some fly-ins offer would be great for me too.

There will probably be some Mooneys at KLUK when the free hot dog cookouts start back up on Saturdays this summer.

I'm about to relocate to the Cincinnati area as well. Does anyone have any connections with someone with hanger availability? I think I've gotten on lists at all the nearby airports but maybe someone on this forum knows the area better than I do who doesn't live there yet. I have a Mooney M20E and am looking forward to arriving in June!

I just ferried a Mooney from California to Maryland last week. I overnighted in KLUK. I wish I would have seen this sooner!!

Update: just closed a deal and am now the proud caretaker of a ‘62 M20C. Looking forward to learning this new (to me) machine and meeting more pilots in the area.
