Watched the video.   Since he is using an air drill.  He is having to do speed control with the trigger.   With your battery drill on slow gear speed and variable speed it will be easier.   Also stopping when you go through the head and then using the punch to pop it out will keep from wallowing out the hole.    It's all nice and fine when it is out on the bench and accessible.   For those hard to reach, you can also use a sharp pair of flush cut dikes to cut the head or tails off.   It's only alum after all. Use blue tape on them to protect the paint.

@Alan Fox great! thank you. I need to talk to my mechanic. I will DM you when I have a plan. Need to decide between a cosmetic repair vs replacement flap.

https://baspartsales.com Is a possible source for a replacement flap. Stand by for a shocker for shipping costs though, but that’s everybody not just BAS.  Crating and shipping was a big component of the overall cost when I replaced a C172 aileron earlier this year.
