oil temp transducer Airframe part or engine part?

My oil temp transducer is intermittent, my center stud turns I'm pretty sure it"s not supposed to do that. Damndest thing can't find anything in my engine IPC or my airframe ipc?!?!?

A. what's the p/n?

B. who's got one?

It’s this.   Don’t forget the an900 gasket that goes under it which is in the Lycoming IPC

The part number is found in the wiring diagram not the IPC.

The Rochester thermocouple in your link requires a special Rochester solid copper gasket not the AN900 or MS35769 series.

Think way back on how things have improved and standardized over the decades…

Unfortunately, our documents are stuck in time…

Some things are stuck in a time when wiring drawings were done using a pencil…. Which includes most of the 1970s….

So much detail is included after the computer was introduced to modern society…

It is certainly remarkable -- both for text documentation and drawings.  With software readily available for documentation, updates or even new models can use the old "drawing" as a starter instead of starting over or erasing and redrawing.  With proper catalogs and backups, the computer has improved institutional memory.
