looks good....but you forgot to flush

which autopilot do you have?

If you dont have a FD on your autopilot setting up the G5 in dual cue seems to give a little easier reading for pitch than the V Bars...seems less cluttered....just a suggestion

No auto pilot so no FD.     Still using PC wing leveler,    The HSI is tied to a GNC355.     Thanks for the suggestion on dual cue.

G5s are good.  Old vacuum gauges we’re getting tired

Looks nice!  Your attitude is good and your wallet is lighter.  Makes the airplane fly even faster!

Have very similar set up.
Wondering what the green triangles at 20 degree bank marks are for on AI.

Don’t have them on mine.

Thanks!!

Me neither.  I was thinking they were for an autopilot but he doesn’t have one…

Are they standard rate turn indexes based on TAS since he has Oat?

I don’t have the OAT probe yet.

that must be for what it is, but i cant find a reference for it in the user guides. i know the 2 green lines is for the GFC500s ESP system.

I was thinking about installing a second g5 for the HSI. Can you tell me where they mounted the GMU 11, and where they installed the temp probe? Did you have a GAD 29B installed too? Thanks

For mine, the gmu-11 is in the tail just behind the battery/avionics rack.  Others have it in the wing.  My heading info is excellent, so there doesn’t seem to be a mag field issue in the tail.  I think the -29 is on the avionics rack.

typically temp probe should be under the wing (out of sun), and away from the engine.  Theres a convenient inspection panel about 18” out and 10” back on the wing (underneath).

Yes on the GAD 29B, a GNC355 is providing data for the HSI.  I am not yet sure where all of the other equipment is installed.

Installer is supposed to provide you location of all the components, as well as configuration settings and wiring diagrams. Important when you need maintenance in the future.

Thanks for the info, my aft avionics rack is pretty full already so a wing install will probably fit the best for the GMU 11. I am assuming the temp probe is the left wing and you are measuring from the wing root and leading edge.
