If I install LED wingtip and tail lights with the strobe function, can I remove my existing belly strobe? To answer your question it depends. Technically, yes if you have a TSO certified wingtip and tail strobe light, you do not need a beacon light. The "it depends" part requires you to take a look at your POH or TCDS to see if the belly beacon is part of the aircraft certification. Secondly, it will require you to run the strobe lights all the time, which on the ground or if you fly into clouds it can become a distraction. Considering the beam presentation is so different compared to the old GE bulbs I wasn't really sure what kind of results to expect. Pleasantly surprised to say the least. Quote
OSUAV8TER Posted March 8 Author Report Posted March 8 I have an excellent inventory of these G3 LED landing and taxi lights. Most Mooney aircraft require the PAR-36 size unless your Mooney has a single landing light on the nose, then is needs a PAR-46 size lamp. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-14V28V-G3-PAR-36-LED-Landing-Light_p_189.html <-- G3 PAR-36 LED Landing Light Link https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-14V28V-G3-PAR-36-LED-Taxi-Light_p_190.html <-- G3 PAR-36 LED Taxi Light Link https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-G3-PAR-46-LED-Landing-Light_p_134.html <-- G3 PAR-46 LED Landing Light Link Quote
OSUAV8TER Posted May 21 Author Report Posted May 21 I just received more PAR-36 size (4.5" diameter) G3 LED landing and taxi lights so if you order today, they ship today. I also have an excellent inventory of the PAR-46 size (5.75" diameter) G3 LED landing lights in stock. If you have a Mooney with a single landing light on the nose, it is a PAR-46 size. If you have two on the nose, they are PAR-36 size. If you have two in each wing, they are also PAR-36 size. These are the best LED landing and taxi lights on the market and are easy to install. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-14V28V-G3-PAR-36-LED-Landing-Light_p_189.html <-- G3 PAR-36 LED Landing Light Link https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-14V28V-G3-PAR-36-LED-Taxi-Light_p_190.html <-- G3 PAR-36 LED Taxi Light Link https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/WAT-G3-PAR-46-LED-Landing-Light_p_134.html <-- G3 PAR-46 LED Landing Light Link gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com <-- Email me for quotes or questions 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call, please leave a voicemail if I do not answer 513-401-6495 <-- Call/Text/MMS, please leave a voicemail if I do not answer.
