Shadrach Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 I've seen less dramatic rescues in action movies. Difficult to reconcile the selfless heroics these LEOs demonstrated with the broader reputation of the LAPD. 2
jaylw314 Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 Sounds like it was a crash on takeoff from Whiteman Airport in LA. There are some YT videos of with the ATC recordings. 2 hours ago, Shadrach said: I've seen less dramatic rescues in action movies. Difficult to reconcile the selfless heroics these LEOs demonstrated with the broader reputation of the LAPD. FWIW my experience was LAPD in the ER (at least 20 years ago) was that they were highly professional, diligent, and conscientious of avoiding the perception of abuse or discrimination. I was always impressed with my interactions with them, especially now that I have some perspective working with PD's outside of LA. 1
