Where to paint

So the new Mooney I bought came with an out dated paint job and some known corrosion. My next task is to get it painted. Living in the greater Houston area, where do I get this done properly without paying out the nose?

To add to this, I was told there was a guy named Alan that has a place called sky art in Sabine Texas. Got a number from someone but it's a non working number. Anyone know that guy or heard of him? I can't find him online

Good and cheap don't go together in an airplane  paint job. 

I was shocked last year when I was just talking to someone about the cost of paint jobs. Hadn't looked at it in 15 years.

Interesting...I keep getting email ads from a well respected shop here on the west coast, ArtCraft Paint, offering discounts.  Seems like they wouldn't be doing that if they were booked solid for a year!  May be geographic.  But, who knows?

Keep in mind…

Some people have flown pretty far to get the right shop to do the work…

Some people have become pretty disenchanted by having their rivets ground down, fuel sealant stripped, and anti-oxident Alclad layer ground off… prior to painting…

There are a few really good threads around here by some MSers getting their paint done…

The latest was done out at ArtCraft in CA… Find Ilya…
