Well, finally got the plane back from annual after waiting for a while for an induction tube.  Flew the TCM run-in flight profile and have since put another 3 hrs on it running 65-75% and ROP.  Compressions good, no real oil consumption to speak of.  So all good for now I guess.  Probably run the mineral oil for 10 hours, dump it, change the filter and go back to AD oil.  Assuming no issues with consumption.

Runs much smoother now.

Ref difficulty in measuring the interior of a valve guide.

My Father was a Dentist, I learned to use Dental impression material to make mold of whatever I need to measure that was difficult, dental impression material is very accurate as it’s used to make a model of the patients teeth to make crowns etc for,  and of course it’s easier often to measure a mold of something.

You can get it on Amazon and it’s not expensive, probably mint flavored, but the mint doesn’t hurt.
