I've been eyeing an article written on the Missile conversion that was published in Aviation Consumer back in 2003.  I'm back and forth on dropping the coin for a subscription to gain access to it.  Funny how many AMU's I've spent on 888DF this year but I have spent the last several months debating the expenditure of .036 AMU's on a subscription for a magazine........

Any PIREPS on aviation consumer?

Here is what I wouldn't mind reading.....

Brandon,

I haven't gotten Aviation Consumer but I do get one of their sister publications, IFR Magazine (http://www.ifr-magazine.com).

It's a excellent publication as it keeps me thinking about flying IFR and the IFR environment. Their "Killer Quiz" will make you think and the back page will make you laugh. It's still only published in hard copy but they say they're going to electronic as well. It's another 0.04 AMU's but I believe well worth it (see my signature line)!

THIS BUG NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!

Aviation Consumer is essentially Paul Bertorelli.  If you like his opinions, you'll like his magazine.  If you tend to disagree with Paul, you're wasting your money.

+1 on Aviation Consumer...

Not sweating the little bug, even with Parker logged in as me. Heck we can't beat the dues, and Craig has told us it ain't a simple fix. Just get in the habit of checking the upper right corner as you sign on, and you'll save some red ink winking smiley

Their coprorate aircraft is a Mooney 231, so on occasion, they offer great Mooney insight. They make some errors with general Mooney information in reviews, nothing big. They are often at task to be clairevyant about new technology and regulation, which nobody could really do, but they try and do fairly well. They are the only game in town and the subscription pays for itself.

I have asked them numerous times for some kind of mult-subscription discount, because I for years have gotten IFR, Aviation Consumer and Aviation Safety.  They never came out with any sort of multi-volume discount, so I finally dropped Aviation Safety as the one of the three that I enjoyed the least and for which the information was very available in other sources.
