Clarence @ZuluZulu At my last annual (May 2021) both rear facing recognition lights were burned out. Both had been replaced as recently as a couple years ago. My IA said since I had the Whelen Orion 550 strobe/position light it was not required to have the wingtip lights working. I just ordered and installed the Aero-Lite bulbs. Popped into place and work beautifully. 1 Quote

Neither fit and the fixture is so borked that it probably needs to be rebuilt. My A&P thinks he can't get it out without busting the lens cover. Quote
Aerodon Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 I did see a Mooney conversion kit somewhere, seemed to be a different bulb holder. I'll look around and try find it again. Aerodon Found It: Search for 'Nav Light' 940103 on the Mooney service bulletins. Quote

Mine came out easily. One of the bulb receptacles was replaced 2-3 years ago. Quote

Hope this helps. I believe some others have made the Aerolite A508 LED work with this housing so for $56 bucks might be worth the try.. Where did you source this part? I found a link in another thread on these lights. https://www.bulbamerica.com/products/osram-sylvania-tp20x-wedge-base-ceramic-lampholder-socket Quote
