I found this post, dug out an old Dell Windows XP Laptop and updated it this morning and all is good!

Did you read through the entire post and look at the Garmin .pdf that was attached to @Jeff_S's November 13, 2020 post? That's what worked for me in 2021 after I bought my G1000 airplane.

I would call Garmin.

Yes, I've even spoken to Garmin and Jeppessen support, and they both sent the same PDF. But I saw from the discussions that I should turn off the CB's Com2 and Nav2/GPS2. However, in Seneca, I only found AHRS and Com2.

Since you have a Seneca, talk to a Piper Service Center that has an avionics shop. They may have a specific service bulletin.

Maybe our friend @AVDB can help - he is a G1000 expert.

We would need to see a picture of the breaker panel, or have a copy of the detailed wiring diagram (the poh one is usually not enough) 

We would essentially be guessing which breaker handles GIA63#2.   They can be separate breakers or they could be combined. 

from what I see in the POH there is only a COM#2 breaker.

I would pull that breaker and check in the status page on the G1000 that COM2 and GPS2 are offline.

This is the circuit breaker panel.

GEA(71)  is the  Analog-Digital Input/Output data system, not the GIA63(W) which is the NAV/COM/GPS unit.. 

I suspect your GIA is just labeled as COM2.

boot your G1000,   Pull the COM2 breaker. and look at the status of the LRU modules.. COM2 and GPS2  should be marked offline. 

That is "AUX" group (outer knob)  then "system status" which is 5-6 clicks of the inner knob.  That should list all of the LRUs..

From Diamond DA40NG wiring diagram of G1000 system which is near to me right now, and I can with a fatness of 99% also say that this is true for other G1000 equipped aircraft 

- GIA 63(W) is the central ‘Integrated Avionics Unit’ (IAU) to the G1000 system.  The GIA 63(W) functions as a main communications hub, linking most LRUs with the PFD and MFD
displays.  The GIA 63(W) contains the GPS (WAAS) receiver, VHF COM/NAV receivers, and system integration microprocessors.
It is powered up via two appropriate circuit breakers GPS/NAV 1(2) and COM 1(2)

- GEA 71 - LRU that is responsible for receiving/processing signals from engine and airframe sensors)
 GEA 71 communicates directly with both GIA 63(W)s using RS-485 digital interface
it is powered up via one circuit breaker - ENG INST

On Seneca this C/B calls GEA, because two engine are installed, we see GEA 1 and GEA 2 C/B on circuit breaker panel.
